  • Forever Changing Tradition?

Everyone has their own holiday traditions. Whether its going to fancy dinner parties with all your relatives, or just sitting at home eating pizza and watching black-and-white movies with your husband or wife, everybody has their own way of making their holidays special. The thing about traditions is that they change every year. Usually these changes are mild...and they dont happen very quickly. But what do you do when your traditions change drastically one year and arent even close to the same? In case you were wondering, thats what has happened to me.
My usual tradition is having my cousins and grandma and aunts and uncles come to my house, and we eat dinner and open presents, and have a good time. But, because of this troubling econemy, we learned this year that my Dad will be working on Christmas day, so we wont be celebrating on Christmas. Instead, we will be celebrating Christmas Eve. Instead of staying at home, we will be flying to New Jersey on Christmas Day also. So this should be interesting.
I'm not complaining though, it could be a lot worse. For example, my friend lost her Dad last month, so this will be her first Holiday Season without her Dad, and shes only a  middle schooler!
I'm just thankful that all my family is alive, though not all are completly healthy, everyone is in stable condition.
What are your Holiday Traditions? How often do they change? Leave a comment and let me know!

    Happy Holidays!

    :)
